BUZZ can be licensed in two ways: Individual and Teams.

What is a time bonus in Buzz?

A time bonus allows you to award extra points for those who answer correctly in the fastest time.

In the game set up, activate the time bonus in the ‘Create Game’ page by toggling the ‘Time Bonus’ box to ‘on’.

What's the difference between 'Time to Read' the question vs 'Time to Answer' the question?

BUZZ gives you the ability to set the time the participants will need to actually read the question before beginning the countdown clock to answer the question.

For example, you can set the 'time to read' at 5 seconds for a short question, or perhaps 10 seconds for a longer question. Once the time is up, the 'time to answer' clock will begin to count down. You might set that clock for 15 seconds. Each question can be set individually, as needed.

You will set these times on the 'Question Creator' page when you write your question.

What are the retention policies for the data within my poll?

You set the time length for data retention when setting up your poll. Data may be kept for the length of your license, or for a limited time as it fits your needs.

Log in to your account dashboard.

Click: Create Poll

Choose:

Advanced Options:

Choose Number of Days to Retain Responses: 0 (keep responses until you decide to clear it- no time limit) or to any number of days you set. For example, if you wanted to keep the poll responses for 30 day, type '30' in the box.

Click the 'Create Poll' button or choose your poll and click the green 'Update' icon.

The presenter can clear the participants answer to each individual question by clicking the 'Clear Answers' link on the left blue side bar. Link is at the top, just underneath the Pin number.

When writing my BUZZ question, how do I select the correct answer to my question?

You'll enter your question on the 'Quiz Question' page.

To indicate the correct answer to a question you create for your Buzz game, simply check the box with the correct answer. The outline of the box will turn green when selected.

Each question can be set up individually with the same or different question types such as multiple choice or image choice.

How do I integrate a poll into my virtual training or eLearning?

A poll can be integrated into a virtual training or eLearning in a variety of ways.

For example, using the 'asynchronous' mode, a poll can be set up ahead of time and sent out with a web link to participants. They can answer the poll on their own time, and you can display results when you want during your virtual or eLearning course.

If you'd like to do the poll at one time, particularly for a virtual training, just be sure everyone has a smart phone or another device handy that they can use to participate during the training. (They could also open another tab on their web browser; however, some may struggle to flip between the two tabs on a small device.) The poll could be done in either 'asynchronous' or 'synchronous' modes, depending on the speed you want your participants to move.

When first creating your game, you can upload an image in order to use your own branding or give it a fun and unique design.

Simply click ‘Create Game’ at the top of your BUZZ dashboard. This will bring you to the ‘Create Game’ set up page. Here you can upload your cover image.

What is the difference between Poll Guru and BUZZ?

The difference between Poll Guru and Buzz has to do with the way information is gathered and displayed.

The main difference between Poll Guru and Buzz is the leaderboard/competition aspect of Buzz. Poll Guru gathers and reports information while Buzz uses that information in a competitive format.
